Incoming emails are being received but outgoing SMTP email is not sending The most common cause of this is that many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) block the usage of port 25. Sympatico is one service provider that blocks port 25 and some Rogers customers as well, and there are other ISPs in increasing numbers with this policy. Miditech has created alternative SMTP ports so that you can continue using our mail servers for outgoing SMTP emailing. Setup SMTP PORT 587 instead of posrt 25 in your email client software. By using this SMTP port, you can continue using our outgoing mail servers. WHAT IF SMTP PORT 587 DOES NOT WORK? If all else fails the only other way to resolve this problem is to contact your Internet Service Provider (such as Sympatico, Rogers, etc) and obtain their SMTP mail server setting and port number (usually port 25) and enter these into your email client (such as outlook express etc) So the incoming mail server setting should be our mail server settings (example... "mail.yourdomain.com") Place your ISP SMTP outgoing mail server information in your email client outgoing SMTP server field. In this way, you receive email from our servers but you send mail using your ISP's servers. The recipients do not see your ISP's email address, they still see your "reply email" address which you set in your email client such as outlook express. Please note that if you use your ISP SMTP settings then Miditech does not offer support should you have problems with outgoing emails. In such cases you should refer to your ISP for assistance. If you have any questions, please call our support desk
