What happens if I have an overage of resources?
Our system will send you an email warning (to the contact email address in your control panel) once you reach 80% of any resource limit. This can help you avoid over the limit fees. If you know that a customer will likely be using large resources, or if they will be advertised on Oprah , for example, ... tell us first. If we are prepared for a spike in resource it helps.
How long has MIDITECH.com been in business?
We have been in this business since 1996 and we remain an increasingly profitable privately owned business. Our customer retention is very high - a good indicator that we are doing our job well.
I have been with a bad host. They also claimed 99.9% uptime. Is it real?
Yes. We are averaging 99.9% availability. And the reality is it is 99.99% uptime with regular server maintenance windows which are required for the network. These maintenance windows run during off peak hours, usually early Saturday mornings between 1am-5am EST. This is why we must state 99.9%.
What are the methods for support and the hours for the support desk?
Our support site help files and manuals are accessible 24/7. Our support desk by phone is open Mon-Fri 10am-5pm EST. Support email requests are monitored 10am-10pm EST, 7 days per week and the support desk email is checked during these hours. Staff have remote email with us at all times, both during normal hours and off hours to ensure a timely response for our resellers. Support requests can be made 24/7 via our support form ticket system or by emailing us at http://miditech.com/tt.
Keep in mind the network is monitored 24/7 and upon any major event causes issues we usually know before our customers and start working on the resolve right away.
Do you offer SSH Access?
We do not allow SSH at this time for security reasons.
Can I offer "unlimited" resource plans to my customers?
No. We strongly disagree with this practice. We do understand the need for resellers to over exaggerate limits on resources to remain competitive but if you are going to do so, please do so ethically. Disk space and bandwidth cost and there is no such thing as "unlimited" in regards to these two features. That said, as long as you remain within the limits of your plan and adhere to our Reseller Terms of Service (read it!) it's fine by us. It's your hosting business.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, American Express, PayPal, Mastercard via Paypal, Email Money Transfers (certapay.com), and check/money orders in Canadian Funds. We bill in Canadian funds. For all other payment methods we require a minimum 3 month billing term. It is required that cheques must be received within 15 days. These terms may increase as we get to know you better as a reseller.
Do You Offer Custom Reseller Plans?
If your resource limits surpass our standard reseller plans then we can offer you a custom plan. Contact sales for details.
Do you support our resold customers?
No - not directly. You support them as a reseller. If you need help we will be your tier 2 support team with you, the reseller, and you will get back to your customer in such cases. We are your silent partner and your customer do not know about us. We will never purposely contact your customers. With our Virtual Server plans, you as the reseller would have your own trouble ticket system and would handle all support directly. With a UDH (Multiple Domain Host Plans) only you , the reseller, have access to the control panel and so you would use the support center in the control panel to submit requests to our support desk as the reseller.
What if my customer contacts MIDITECH?
If your customer, not knowing that MIDITECH.com is your provider for hosting services, contacts us directly and wants to switch from your company to ours, MIDITECH.com will contact you first before accepting them as our customer. It will NEVER be our intention to take your customers from you and we would discuss this with you first to be sure you are comfortable with such. Rest assured you will have a full say in what happens!
Can I Resell Domain Names through MIDITECH.com ?
You can choose any domain registrar you wish or you can signup as a reseller for domains at http://domains.miditech.com
What about price increases?
They occur but not often. As with any business, a supplier's price can go up for many reasons. In our case, the cost of Hydro, phones for support, rising costs and inflation is why it would happen. It is important that we remain profitable for all our customers and resellers. We will notify you of any price increases before doing so.
